About The Study: This study of 2.8 million commercially insured adults found an association between chronic disease diagnoses and adverse credit report outcomes, with increasing rates of medical debt in collections, nonmedical debt in collections, total delinquent debt, low credit score and recent bankruptcy as an individual's number of chronic conditions increased.
