Sadly, a person has died while diving with friends on King Island.
Police and emergency services were called to Johnson Rock at Currie just before 11.30am after reports a diver had encountered difficulties in the water.
The 43-year-old interstate visitor was retrieved from the water after his friends had attempted CPR.
He sadly died at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends.
