We mourn the passing of John Kerin and honour his vast contribution to our country.
John was a former Treasurer and longstanding minister in some of the best cabinets Australia has ever seen.
In an outstanding period of economic renewal and reform for Australia, John played an important role across a number of key portfolios but particularly in modernising and strengthening the nation's primary industries.
We are thinking of John's loved ones today.
