Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Space Force Lt. Gen. Michael A. Guetlein for appointment to the grade of general with assignment as vice chief of Space Operations, United States Space Force, Washington, D.C. Guetlein is currently serving as the commander, Space Systems Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California.

Space Force Lt. Gen. Stephen N. Whiting for appointment to the grade of general with assignment as commander, United States Space Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. Whiting is currently serving as the commander, Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.

Space Force Lt. Gen. Philip A. Garrant for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commander, Space Systems Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California. Garrant is currently serving as deputy chief of space operations for Strategy, Plans, Programs, and Requirements, Office of the Chief of Space Operations, Pentagon, Washington D.C.

Space Force Brig. Gen. Donald J. Cothern for appointment to the grade of major general. Cothern is currently serving as deputy commander, Space Systems Command, United States Space Force, California.

Space Force Brig. Gen. Troy L. Endicott for appointment to the grade of major general. Endicott is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of space operations for Operations, Cyber and Nuclear, Office of the Chief of Space Operations, Headquarters United States Space Force, Washington, D.C.

Space Force Brig. Gen. Timothy A. Sejba for appointment to the grade of major general. Sejba is currently serving as program executive officer, Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power; and program executive officer, Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications, Space Systems Command, United States Space Force, California.
