Kiama Council and Destination Kiama have released the 2023 Kiama Visitor Guide to inspire our visitors and locals with things to see and do in our municipality.

The Kiama Visitor Guide presents comprehensive, user-friendly information designed to welcome visitors to the area and connect them to local attractions and businesses in our towns and villages.

Information includes a range of local walks of varying grades, options for hands-on workshops, water activities and cycling.

The guide also notes places to eat, relax and adventure.

QR codes are found throughout the publication linking to live information on events and more specialised knowledge.

Destination Kiama Chair Matt Brown said the Kiama Visitor Guide was something to be proud of, as it showcases our beautiful region.

"The guide highlights our well-known attractions such as the Blowhole as well as lesser-known gems such as our hinterland walks and amazing array of wildlife," Cr Brown said.

"It's an attractive publication and we have people waiting on the 2023 edition to add to their collection."

"The highly-coveted cover is this year a beautiful image overlooking the turquoise water of Jones Beach at Kiama Downs."

Three themes occur throughout the guide: family-friendly activities, environmentally sustainable touring tips and areas with accessible features.

Articles include home-grown surfing champion Sally Fitzgibbon uncovering her favourite way to spend her time (and it's not all surfing).

Local producers also provide 'perfect pairings' highlighting the flavours of the area with clever makers, brewers and bakers.

There are simple introductions to the Dharawal language, spoken by the region's First Nations custodians, and information on Dharawal seasons and totems.

The Guide is available from the Visitor Information Centre at Blowhole Point, and online: kiama.com.au.

It is distributed to our Destination Kiama partner businesses throughout the region, state-wide across our Visitor Information Centre network, and within hotel lobbies and airports over NSW.
