Local small business owner, clinical nutritionist, and community advocate, Kate Beaumont, will stand as the Liberal candidate for Maroubra as part of Kellie Sloane's team.
Kate is passionate about helping people live healthier and better lives, and has been active in the community through local food drives, community pantries and volunteering at the local school.
Having raised her two kids in Maroubra with husband Michael, and running her own local nutrition practice, Kate understands everyday challenges facing local families and small businesses.
Ms Beaumont said she was honoured to have the opportunity to stand up for the community that has been her home for almost two decades.
"Our community needs someone who can genuinely represent their concerns and stand up against cuts to cost-of-living programs and increasing taxes. People are working harder than ever but feel like they are falling behind.
"Maroubra deserves better – I am committed to delivering practical cost-of-living relief, backing local businesses, and ensuring our essential front-line services don't fall behind," Ms Beaumont said.
"After three years of the Minns Labor Government, NSW is going backwards. There is no plan to make life easier for families, support small businesses, or deliver the essential services our community relies on. From a lack of investment in the local bus services, with growing congestion on our roads due to their infrequency, to a failure to deliver the necessary infrastructure and community amenities to match Maroubra's new developments.
"Our community deserves a strong local voice who will stand up for the services that local families need, will protect our natural environment and can deliver real results.
"I will be a champion for Maroubra; whether it's tackling Labor's cost of living crisis with practical relief, supporting our local small and medium businesses by cutting red tape, or ensuring our essential front-line services don't fall behind, I will fight for better outcomes every day."
As part of Kellie Sloane's Liberal team, Kate will stand up for Maroubra families, households and small businesses, and fight to deliver the investment, services and support our community needs.
