This year's grant recipients are younger health science researchers from both Denmark and abroad, all of whom hold a PhD in their respective fields and work on widely diverse topics and approaches within neuroscience or clinical research.
Postdoc Jacob Aunstrup Larsen, DTU Bioengineering, receives approximately DKK 2.5 million for his research into how so-called amyloid fibrils are formed in the brain. This is important because the accumulation of these amyloid fibrils characterises Parkinson's disease.
