Man dies after being struck by vehicle - Wentworth Point

A woman has been arrested and a man has died after being struck by a vehicle near Homebush yesterday.

About 8.30pm (Saturday 27 June 2020), emergency services were called to a carpark on Hill Road near Half Street, Wentworth Point, after reports a man had been struck by a Toyota Kluger, pinning him against a brick wall.

Police treated the 31-year-old man at the scene until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived, but he died a short time later.

The driver of the Toyota, a 45-year-old woman, was arrested and taken to Concord Hospital under police guard for mandatory testing.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.

Detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and initial inquiries suggest the incident was deliberate.
