Man extradited after car theft - Murray River

A man has been extradited from Victoria to New South Wales, charged over an outstanding warrant for the alleged theft of a motor vehicle last year.

Police will allege in court the 24-year-old stole a motor vehicle from a premises in Albury on Saturday November 7 2020.

Yesterday (Tuesday 15 June 2021), the man was arrested at Wodonga Court House, Victoria.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District were notified and applied for the man's extradition to New South Wales, which was granted.

He will appear in Albury Local Court today (Wednesday 16 June 2021).

Meanwhile, police are continuing to investigate an armed robbery at a service station on Travelstop Way, Lavington, on Saturday (12 June 2021).
