MCA appoints Executive Director - Northern Australia

Ms Cathryn Tilmouth has been appointed to the position of MCA Executive Director - Northern Australia.

This new position reflects the importance of the minerals sector's contribution to the development of the economy in northern Australia.

Ms Tilmouth will be responsible for advocacy to federal, territory and state governments on policies relating to northern Australia's resources sector, economic development, infrastructure, environmental management and the vital partnership with Indigenous Australians.

She will also be responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the MCA Northern Territory Division.

There are enormous opportunities for mining in the Northern Territory and Ms Tilmouth will be working hard to support industry to create investment, jobs and towards the sustainability of communities.

Ms Tilmouth brings to the role extensive experience in the resources sector.

She joins the MCA from Santos where she was a senior government and public affairs adviser for three years and previously held federal and NT ministerial resources advisor roles.

Ms Tilmouth will be based in the MCA NT Division Darwin office and will begin her new role on 7 February.
