Mount Lindesay Highway motorists can now travel on the new southbound lanes and Norris Creek bridge, marking a major milestone for the upgrade at Munruben.

The project will widen the highway from two to four lanes, build new northbound and southbound bridges across Norris Creek, install safety upgrades and improve fauna connectivity and protection.

The $75 million Mount Lindesay Highway Stoney Camp Road to Chambers Flat Road upgrade is jointly funded on a 50:50 basis between the Australian and Queensland governments and is scheduled for completion in late 2022.

This investment is estimated to support an average of 80 direct jobs over the life of the project.
