NATO Deputy Chief Meets Industry Heads in Paris

NATO

On Monday (15 June 2026), NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska attended the Defence Forum Eurosatory in Paris. In her discussions with industry leaders and professionals, she highlighted the critical role of industries in European rearmament.

Exchanging with industry leaders at the forum, the Deputy Secretary General previewed the upcoming NATO Summit Ankara and underscored the strong focus on defence industry. Ms Shekerinska explained the need to learn from the rapid changes in modern warfare, and the central role of defence industries in providing innovative solutions. This will be an important element of the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum in Ankara next month. The Deputy Secretary General called on industry partners to participate actively in the event, showcasing concrete achievements and deliverables. This would visibly demonstrate how increased defence budgets are used to increase our collective security.

Last year's NATO Summit in The Hague focused on defence investment commitments; this year's Summit in Ankara will focus on demonstrating achievements, and illustrating industry's critical role in strengthening collective security.
