The latest ArtSeat "brings awareness of the native animals who have adapted to the environment that we have created," according to featured artist Karen Farmer.
Karen uses street signs adorned with bird images to highlight how native wildlife has come "to live amongst us in the city".
"They have adjusted from bush to streets, trees to powerlines, and endless traffic, to become our neighbours," she said.
The ArtSeat work is an extension of Karen's City Feathers painted at MUD AUSTRALIA 2019 as part of the EDGE Perfect Match Program.
Council's ArtSeat is a permanent structure in Newtown Square that provides local, emerging and established artists with a space where experimental and non-commercial art can be showcased.
Incorporating public seating and lighting, the ArtSeat is also a landmark meeting point.
"The Inner West is alive with colour from murals, street art and events," said Karen.
"We are distinguished by our cultural creativity that has been driven by the opportunities provided by the Inner West Council.
"Without the council initiatives so many up-and-coming artists may never get a start in their art career.
"My work, like so many other council driven works, endeavours to try and bring a smile to the passer-by and add a little brightness to their day," Karen said.
