Nominations are now open for the Tasmanian Biosecurity Awards.
The Tasmanian Government is recognising those working hard to keep our state pest, weed and disease-free.
The two award categories are the Tasmanian Community Biosecurity Award and the Tasmanian Industry Biosecurity Award, which celebrate individuals, groups and organisations for their contributions to protecting the State's biosecurity.
Minister for Primary Industries and Water, Gavin Pearce, said our Government is delivering for Tasmanians and those that keep our state pest, weed and disease free.
"Biosecurity is vitally important to our island state, and it's a responsibility that falls to all of us," Minister Pearce said.
"Whether you're a business, community group, farmer, or an everyday Tasmanian who goes above and beyond to protect our state - thank you for doing your part to keep Tasmania pest, weed, and disease-free.
"Last year's winners - Tasmanian Community Biosecurity Award recipient, Lalani Hyatt, and Tasmanian Industry Biosecurity Award winner Nathan Saunders - are exceptional examples of people who go above and beyond to protect our biosecurity."
Nominations for this year's awards are now open and will close 31 July.
