Police have arrested a man in relation to the Whakatane homicide on Saturday 24 October.
A 57-year-old man has been charged with murder and will be appearing in the Tauranga District Court tomorrow morning.
Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.
As this matter is now before the Courts, Police cannot comment further.
