NZ police thank public for assistance in aggravated robbery investigation

Police investigating an aggravated robbery in Richmond last year would like to thank the public for their assistance.

The aggravated robbery occurred at the Railway Tavern on 12 October last year. A 34-year-old man was later located and arrested in Tauranga on 30 October 2020.

A concentrated effort and swift action by Police, coupled with help from the public enabled the quick apprehension of the man.

Police is committed to ensuring the safety of our community and to holding offenders to account.

The 34-year-old man appeared in Tauranga District Court today after being charged with aggravated robbery.

The man was convicted and sentenced to three years and 10 months imprisonment.
