OCS Bust: Eight Charged, $21M Drugs, Guns Seized

Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged eight people and seized an estimated $21 million worth of drugs as part of an ongoing investigation into commercial drug supply from an offshore Organised Crime Network (OCN).

The investigation is part of a significant joint operation between State Crime Command's Organised Crime Squad and the NSW Crime Commission under Strike Force Lupin II and Strike Force Dakota

Both strike forces were established to investigate the serious criminal activities of transnational OCNs hailing from south-east Asia, including the large-scale manufacturing, importation and supply of illicit drugs.

Over the course of the investigation, detectives executed 18 warrants, arrested 18 people, seizing 38kg of cocaine, 125kg of methylamphetamine, 16kg ketamine, 3kg of MDMA, 419g of cannabis, over 34,000 tablets of tramadol hydrochloride and Xanax, with an estimated total street value of $77 million dollars.

Strike Force Dakota

About 10.30pm on Thursday 25 June 2026, strike force detectives have executed a search warrant in Strathfield South, allegedly seizing 16kg of cocaine, 12kg of methylamphetamine, 3kg of MDMA, over 7,000 tablets of tramadol hydrochloride, and more than 27,000 Xanax tablets.

About 11.10am on Friday 26 June 2026, a 37-year-old man was arrested in Strathfield South and taken to Auburn Police Station.

A short time later, investigators executed a search warrant at a unit on Punchbowl Road, Strathfield South, where they seized about 8kg of cocaine, 200 grams of MDMA, 1,300 tablets of restricted substances and various equipment and packaging.

A third search warrant was executed at a home on Rodd Street, Birrong, where police allegedly seized steroids and electronic devices.

The 37-year-old man was charged with four counts of supply prohibited drug – greater than or equal to large commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug – greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug – greater than or equal to commercial quantity and possess prescribed restricted substance. He was refused bail and appeared at Bail Division Court 7 on Saturday 27 June 2026.

Strike Force Lupin II

About 11.45am on Tuesday 30 June 2026, strike force detectives – with assistance from Raptor Squad – executed four search warrants in Merrylands, Canley Heights and Bankstown.

During the searches, detectives seized a pistol, ammunition, 21g of cocaine, 5g of methylamphetamine, 417g of cannabis, $16,365 cash and electronic devices.

In Canley Heights, a 21-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity and three counts of deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100000 and $5000. He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 7 on Wednesday 1 July 2026.

A 22-year-old Bankstown man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with four counts of supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity, knowingly direct activities of a criminal group and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime. He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 7 on Wednesday 1 July 2026.

In Merrylands a 27-year-old man was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he was charged with possess unauthorised pistol, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity, participate criminal group – contribute criminal activity and two counts of drive when visiting driver privileges withdrawn. He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 6 on Wednesday 1 July 2026.

A 40-year-old Canley Heights man was arrested and taken to Cabramatta Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than small and less than indictable quantity and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity. He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 6 on Wednesday 1 July 2026.

About 6.20am on Thursday 2 July 2026, strike force detectives – with assistance from Southwest Metropolitan Operations Support Group and Raptor Squad – executed search warrants in Cabramatta, Fairfield and Casula.

A 38-year-old man was arrested in Fairfield East and taken to Cabramatta Police Station where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug greater than indictable & less than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen. He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 6 today (Friday 3 July 2026).

In Canley Heights, a 21-year-old man was arrested and taken to Cabramatta Police Station where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug greater than indictable & less than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen. He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 6 today (Friday 3 July 2026).

A 19-year-old Casula man was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug greater indictable & less than commercial quantity and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity. He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 7 today (Friday 3 July 2026).
