Cricket fans can secure their seats to experience the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women's T20 World Cup 2020 in Western Australia, with tickets on sale to the general public from this morning.
Perth is one of four cities to have Women's ICC T20 World Cup tournament matches, which will be held at the WACA Ground.
The State Government, through Tourism Western Australia, successfully bid to host 11 men's and women's ICC T20 World Cup matches in Perth in 2020.
The strong women's line-up for Perth features current and former champions including defending champions Australia as well as the West Indies (2016) and England (2009), with both sides starting their campaigns on the first weekend of the tournament in WA.
The women's games in Perth will be held from February 22 to February 24 next year with five matches over the three days, starting and finishing with a double header. Perth fans will be able to see nine of the 10 teams to compete at the women's tournament.
To celebrate the one year to go milestone both the women's and men's T20 World Cup trophies will be on display at the WACA Ground tomorrow (February 22), when Australia take on New Zealand.
Fans will have a rare opportunity to see the trophies up close and have their photo with T20 cricket's most prized silverware.
As part of the lead-up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2020, Perth participated in an official Guinness World Record attempt for the most number of signatures on a piece of sporting memorabilia.
The 2.4 x 2.4 metre 'Big Shirt' is travelling to all Women's T20 World Cup host cities, and was signed by WACA staff and junior cricketers this week as part of the one year to go celebrations.
The goal is to reach 2020 signatures, with an Australian women's cricket team player to add the final signature on International Women's Day (March 8) marking one year until the Women's T20 World Cup Final in 2020.
