Police arrest two after Coolaroo thefts and robbery

Police have arrested two males after two businesses were targeted by thieves in Coolaroo.

Two males entered a bottle shop on Barry Road about 6.35pm and were asked for identification.

The males refused before grabbing four bottles of alcohol as well as a six-pack of pre-mixed drinks and fleeing the store.

About an hour later two males entered a service station, also on Barry Road.

One of the males requested a packet of cigarettes while the other grabbed several drinks from the refrigerator.

Without paying, the first males snatched the packet of cigarettes and both fled from the store.

An hour later the males returned to the service station.

One threatened the sales attendant before climbing over the counter and stealing about 10 cigarette packets and a computer.

Police were called and two 17-year-old males from Dallas were arrested nearby a short time later.

They are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed any of the incidents or has information that could assist investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 18000 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
