Police charge man after filming burnouts at Wagga Wagga

A man has been charged with allegedly filming footage of recent burnout incidents in the Wagga Wagga area.

Investigations began after officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command's South West Regional Puma received several complaints about drivers conducting burnouts between April and May this year.

The alleged incidents were uploaded to social media.

Following inquiries, police attended an address in Ashmont yesterday (Tuesday 22 June 2021) where they spoke to an 18-year-old man.

He was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for film vehicle operated contrary subsection – second offence.

The Ashmont man is due to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 11 August 2021.

Investigations are continuing.
