Police charge man after Leopold serious collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 35-year-old man following a collision in Leopold this morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Melaluka Road and Bellarine Highway, following reports a motorcycle and Isuzu D-max 4WD collided about 6.40am.

The male rider, a 45-year-old Newtown man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives have charged the Isuzu driver with dangerous driving causing serious injury.

The Leopold man was bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates' Court on 15 August.
