Police charge man with burglary and stealing 23 October

Police have charged a 29-year-old man with several offences following burglaries in Hobart and Kingston over the weekend.

Police will allege that overnight Friday-Saturday, a man unlawfully entered a building on Macquarie Street and stole a significant amount of property including electronic items, 26 computers, iphones, a significant quantity of specialist engineering equipment, tools, furniture, and a silver 2017 Volkswagon utility.

Police will further allege that around 1.15pm on Saturday, the same man unlawfully entered a shed at a residence in Kingston.

The 29-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences including Burglary, Stealing, Trespass, Breach of Bail, Drive while disqualified, Threaten police, Resist police.

Police conducted a search at a Kingston property linked to the man and located a significant quantity of the stolen property.
