A man has been charged with high range drink driving after allegedly crashing into a house and attempting to leave the scene in The Hills overnight.
About 11.00pm on Friday 4 June 2021, emergency services were called to Baulkham Hills Road, Baulkham Hills, following reports a car had crashed into a house on Baulkham Hills Road.
Officers from The Hills Police Area Command and Darling Mills Highway Patrol attended and found a white Toyota Hilux crashed into the front bedroom of the house after losing control at a roundabout on Gooden Drive.
The driver had allegedly left the scene.
Fortunately, there was no one in the bedroom at the time and no one was injured.
A short time later, the driver, a 37-year-old man from Stanhope Gardens, was located in the passenger seat of a second vehicle on Gooden Drive, allegedly attempting to leave the area.
The man was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis and allegedly returned a reading of 0.150.
He was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice (FCAN) for drive with high-range PCA, negligent driving and failing to exchange details. His licence was also suspended.
The man is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 30 June 2021.
