Police investigate indecent act in Sunbury

Police are investigating an incident where a man was seen inappropriately touching himself in Sunbury last month.

Investigators have been told a woman attended a carpark at a shopping centre on Vineyard Road in Sunbury about 6.50pm on 14 September.

She parked her car in the empty carpark and then proceeded to pick up food she had ordered from a nearby shop.

She returned to her car about five minutes later and noticed a car parked very close to hers with the driver's side window down.

She noticed the man inside had his dash lights on and was masturbating in his car.

The woman got into her car, locked her doors and drove away.

The man is described as having a beard and moustache with glasses and was wearing satin boxer shorts with a white pattern.

The vehicle is described as a silver late 2000 model Holden Astra.

Investigators have also had reports of a silver Subaru sedan that parked very close to another woman's car in the carpark of a Drover Street supermarket.

This happened on two occasions, the 30 June and 14 July, again with a male in the front seat, parked very close and with his window down.

Police believe it is likely the man has targeted other women in the area and urge those people to contact police.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
