Police investigate serious assault at Noosa Heads

Police are investigating the serious assault of a 20-year-old man at Noosa Heads on New Year's Eve.

At about 11pm, a fight occurred between a group of men in a car park in the vicinity of Noosa Parade.

A 20-year-old Lake McDonald man received serious injuries to his head as a result of the assault and was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.

Two men are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
