Around 5.30pm last night, Thursday 31 December 2020, the victim, a man in his 20's, was approached by
another man asking for a cigarette, outside the Perth Bus port on Wellington Street Perth.
A second man approached, and the victim was assaulted. A group of people surrounded the victim and he was
knocked to the ground where he had his face stomped on.
Security staff attended the location and the group dispersed. The victim attended Royal Perth Hospital where
he was treated for his injuries. Police were then notified.
As a result of the assault, the victim received treatment for a fractured jaw, nose and facial injuries. He was
released from hospital to the care of his family.
