Police investigate suspicious house fire - Western Region

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire at Broken Hill at the weekend.

About 1.45pm on Saturday (17 October 2020), emergency services attended a property on Sulphide Street after reports of a fire.

On arrival officers found the unoccupied house alight.

The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW; however, it caused significant damage.

Officers from Barrier Police District established a crime scene and commence inquiries to determine the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
