Police make arrest after Pinjarra burglary

Mandurah Detectives have charged two people as a result of their investigation into a burglary at an Engineering business located on Munday Avenue in Pinjarra, that occurred between Sunday 1 December and Monday 2 December 2019.

It is alleged offenders gained entry into shipping containers that were situated inside the business property and have stolen a large amount of various tool items. It is further alleged they stole electrical wiring on reels and placed them onto the victim's trailer before attaching it to a brand new Landcruiser utility and driving it from the location stealing the items, trailer and two Landcruisers valued at $70,000 each.

One stolen Landcruiser was recovered on Monday 2 December. The other stolen Landcruiser was sighted by officers leaving an address in Greenfields. Mandurah Detectives executed a search warrant on the Greenfields home where it is alleged they located other items stolen during the burglary.

A 37-year-old woman from Greenfields is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today (11 December 2019) on the charges of:-

• Four counts of Steal Motor Vehicle;

• Two counts of Stealing;

• Two counts of Attempted Stealing; and

• One count of Aggravated Burglary and Commit.

A 35-year-old woman from Greenfields is due to appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court on 27 December 2019 on the charges of:-

• Steal Motor Vehicle; and

• No Authority to Drive.
