Police make arrest over robbery on city bus, South Australia

Following a public appeal for assistance yesterday, Police have arrested two suspects over a recent aggravated robbery on an Adelaide bus.

About 8.10pm Wednesday 29 April, the victim and two men got on the 720H bus from Grote Street and travelled west towards West Terrace.

The two men approached the victim and threatened him before stealing his property. A short time later the suspects exited the bus at West Terrace. Thankfully the victim was not physically injured.

Police released CCTV footage of the suspects yesterday in a bid to identify them.

Following investigations by Eastern District CIB, Detectives today arrested the two suspects involved in the incident.

A 16-year-old boy from Glandore and a 21-year-old man from Mile End were both charged with aggravated robbery.

Both males were further charged with a second aggravated robbery which also occurred in Grote Street a short time prior to the bus incident, where they stole a person's baseball cap. He was not injured.

The boy has been refused police bail while the man has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 15 July.
