A high-visible police operation for a pro-Palestine rally in the Sydney CBD has concluded with no significant incidents.
Operation Commander, Assistant Commissioner Tony Cooke APM, acknowledged the co-operation of the rally's organisers and the community in ensuring the rally was conducted safely and responsibly.
"We appreciate the co-operation of all involved for working with police to achieve today's outcome," Assistant Commissioner Cooke said.
An estimated crowd of 6,000 attended the event, including many family groups and representatives from across the wider community.
During the high-visibility policing operation, more than 1,000 police were deployed across the city to help manage crowds and provide a safe environment for everyone.
The deployment, as part of Operation Shelter, included officers attached to the Police Transport Command, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, Public Order and Riot Squad, Operations Support Group, Mounted Unit, Dog Unit and PolAir.
No arrests were made during the event and there were no reported injuries.
"Police will continue to monitor events across the state and will respond to any incidents to ensure the safety and security of everyone in NSW," Assistant Commissioner Cooke said.
