Police seek help to locate missing couple in remote outback

Northern Territory Police hold concerns for the welfare of two people who failed to return to community following a hunting trip in Central Australia yesterday.

Don and Eva Kunoth, aged 77 and 73-years-old, left the community of Yuendumu to go on a hunting trip in the Mt Doreen/Mt Singleton area yesterday around 11:30am.

Family raised the alarm with police after Don and Eva, who are travelling in a white twin cab Holden Rodeo with a silver bull bar and spot lights, didn't return to community late yesterday.

It is believed the pair took a jerry can of water, but no food, with them.

Police are conducting an aerial search of the Mt Doreen and Mr Singleton area this afternoon.

Police urge anyone who may have information as to Don and Eva's whereabouts, to contact them immediately on 131 444.
