Police seek information after South Melbourne aggravated burglary

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary in South Melbourne last month.

It is understood a man entered a property on Heather Street about 6.20am on Monday 22 August.

Police were told the victims were asleep upstairs, after leaving their bags inside the property near the front door.

The man fled the scene on foot with the stolen bags.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Investigators have released CCTV and an image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
