Police seek witnesses to assaults in Darwin

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a number of incidents at a shopping centre in Casuarina and Moil on Friday.

Between 3pm and 4pm, police received numerous reports of up to nine youths causing disturbances throughout the centre on Trower Road and at the Casuarina Bus Exchange.

Police believe the group were involved in two aggravated robberies and an assault in which three male youths received minor injuries.

One of the group was also allegedly involved in an assault at a shopping centre on Moil Place the night prior. Police are still seeking to identify the victim.

Senior Sergeant Kaye Pemberton said, "Detectives from Serious Crime have arrested three males, aged 10, 11 and 11, in relation to a number of these offences. All have been remanded to appear in court today.

"Police are calling for any witnesses, who haven't done so already, to make contact on 131 444. We are particularly urging a male victim, wearing a grey hoody, who was assaulted at the Casuarina Bus Exchange, to contact police to provide a statement.

"This senseless violence on unsuspecting victims is absolutely unacceptable. Investigations are continuing to locate the remaining offenders."
