Police update 3: Murder charge at Withcott

A 46-year-old Rockville man originally charged with manslaughter following an allegedly deliberate hit and run at Withcott last month has had his charge upgraded to murder.

It will be alleged that a 33-year-old Boronia Heights man was deliberately struck along Toowoomba Connection Road shortly after 3pm on Sunday November 20.

The man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he died late last week (December 3).

On November 21, a 46-year-old Rockville man was charged with multiple offences, including attempted murder. However, that charge has now been upgraded to murder.

He is still due to next appear before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on January 20, 2023.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident and continue to appeal for witnesses and dash cam vision and a missing Holden Rodeo utility.
