Police are investigating the death of a man after his body was located in Ross River at Thuringowa just before midday.
The 18-year-old man is believed to have entered the water around 3:30 Thursday morning.
Police commenced a search involving Water Police, specialist police divers, SES, Townsville Rescue Helicopter, an SES drone, as well as personnel searching the river banks, on foot and in vehicles.
Investigations are ongoing and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
