Police update: Robbery with violence, traffic crash charges at Gold Coast

Police have charged two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy following investigations into an alleged robbery with violence at Coomera and a related traffic crash at Ormeau late last night.

Police will allege the three boys assaulted a ride share operator at a service station on the M1 at Coomera around 11.10pm and stole his Toyota Camry.

Around 11.30pm, the same vehicle was allegedly involved in a crash on the M1 at Ormeau, injuring two girls aged 17 and 14.

All three boys have been charged with child under 18 unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

They will appear in Southport Childrens Court at a later date.
