Robbery Mount Lawley - Charge

Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a boy in relation to a Robbery in Banks Reserve on Joel Terrace, Mount Lawley on Saturday 19 October 2019.

A 16 year old male attended a function at the Banks Reserve Pavilion when just after 9pm, a number of uninvited people arrived at the function. The victim started walking away from the crowd when he was followed by several unknown male persons. The victim started to run from the males who caught up to him. One of the males assaulted him by kicking him in the stomach and stole his mobile phone. The victim's friends went to assist him and the males dispersed.

A 17 year old boy (one of the males in the group) has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and is due to appear in the Perth Children's Court on 20 November 2019.

Detectives are still to identify the remaining males involved. They are described as being dark skinned.
