Wagga Wagga City Council has completed the replacement of the playground equipment at Rotaract Park in Kooringal.
The work was finished last week, with only some concrete edging and table settings to be finished over the next three to four weeks.
The replacement of the equipment at Rotaract Park is part of a schedule of upgrades planned for playground facilities throughout the local government area as part of Council's Playground Strategy 2024 – 2044.

Works and Playground Officer John Conlan said community voting via Council's Have Your Say website ensured the right design was chosen.
"Local residents voted on which of the playground design options they thought best suited their family's needs," Mr Conlan said
"The new playground includes a double swing with nest seat, an overhead net with loops, a tunnel, a medium slide, a see-saw and a metal loop climber.
"The upgrade, costing $48,000, ensures Rotaract Park is now suitable for children aged from four to early teens, with improved accessibility and more equipment at ground level."
The current round of playground upgrades also includes Jack Misson Oval in Ashmont, Hardy Ave, Forest Hill Oval, and Nathan Park in Ashmont.

Jack Misson Oval's new playground has been installed and is open for the community to use.
Hardy Avenue in Central Wagga Wagga (near Calvary Hospital) is also open to the community for use; some natural play items such as timber balance beams and landscape rocks are to be added to the space.
Forest Hill Oval is currently under construction. Depending on weather, the playground will be open to the public by 6 June, with concrete edging installed a few weeks after that.

The Nathan Park playground is scheduled for demolition and replacement starting early to mid-June.
