Serious allegations involving historic child sex abuse levelled against a Liberal politician must be thoroughly investigated by both police and the Premier.
Shadow Police Minister Shane Broad said serious allegations have been published in The Australian.
"The Premier and the Liberal party must investigate these very serious claims," Dr Broad said.
"The Premier must also clarify whether or not police have been contacted and when he first became aware of this matter.
"Further, considering the woman at the centre of this matter claims she initially contacted police five years ago in 2014, why wasn't an investigation initiated then?
"There are very serious questions that cannot be swept under the carpet."
