Firstly, in Queensland we're going to have those coastal showers impacting some of the dawn services in south-east Queensland, so watch out for those if you are heading out to those services. But for the rest of the state, we are looking at dry, warm and sunny conditions, with maybe a few morning showers as well up around the north tropical coast. Temperatures during the afternoons are looking to get up into the high 20s to low 30s for coastal areas and inland areas as well, though it will only get into 31°C in far western Queensland out towards Birdsville. Saturday morning is looking at around 16 or 17 °C for those dawn services and a couple of showers in Brisbane, before warming up to a showery 25 °C during the day and then moving down into New South Wales.
A similar story unfolds in north-east New South Wales, where we're going to see these widespread showers impacting much of northern New South Wales down to around the Newcastle area, and even just the chance of a shower getting to around the Sydney area as well. But from Wollongong south and from well inland, we're going to see a dry, warm and sunny day for much of the state of New South Wales, away from those showers in the north. For dawn services, it will be pretty chilly through south-eastern parts of New South Wales and around the ACT, getting down to those low single figures, so rug up if you're heading out to those services, while it will be warmer in Sydney with a possible shower or two about the coast, starting at 15 and reaching 25 during the afternoon. Dawn service is pretty chilly around Canberra, but it will be dry starting off around four, then warming up into the low 20s, reaching 23 °C there in the afternoon.
Victoria continues a trend of warm, dry and sunny weather for much of the state, once again with temperatures in the mid to high 20s almost statewide. It will be a cool morning heading out for those dawn services, but for this time of year, pretty mild really, with low teens like 14 to start the day in Melbourne, low teens in the south, and maybe single figures for inland areas. However, a dry, warm and sunny day is on the way, with Melbourne seeing around 14 °C for dawn services and warming up to 25 °C with lots of sunshine. Moving down into Tasmania, again a mild, warm and dry day is on the way, with a pretty mild morning as well for those attending dawn services right across the state. You can see 14 °C as we wake up in Hobart, sometimes more like a daytime high than a minimum, before warming up to a warm 24 °C, although towards the end of the day we could see some showers approaching western parts of Tasmania.
Moving up into South Australia, the day will start off dry and mild across much of the state, with minimum temperatures in the low to mid teens for those dawn services, and then warming up into the high 20s to near 30 °C. However, that trough is going to move into coastal areas later in the day and possibly into central parts of the state during the afternoon and overnight hours, bringing some showers and possible storms, firstly around the Eyre Peninsula and west coast, and then moving into central areas on Saturday night. So watch out for that, although generally most areas will have a dry, warm and sunny day after a mild start, with dawn services around Adelaide at 17 °C, warming up to a sunny 28 °C, with cloud increasing during the day and possible showers at night.
Over in Western Australia, we can see similar conditions, with a dry, warm and mostly sunny day for much of the state, although a little bit cooler in the south-west to start the day for those attending dawn services there, dropping down to around 10 °C in the morning at Perth. From there, temperatures will climb into the low to mid 20s, maybe high 20s through inland areas, and even into the low 30s through northern parts of WA, with Perth starting at ten and then warming up to a sunny 25 °C on Saturday.
Moving up into the Northern Territory, dry, warm and sunny weather continues, which is a sure sign that we're probably at the very start of the dry season. The only wet weather possible will be some showers through the eastern parts of the Top End, while Cape York, the Gulf and the Kimberley look dry, warm and sunny. It will be pretty warm if you're heading out to dawn services, with low 20s around the Top End and even low teens for those in the south, while Darwin is looking at 23 to start the day and then 34 and partly cloudy.
Then moving into Sunday across the country, that dominating high in the Tasman Sea will continue to impact our weather, meaning similar conditions again for many areas. Brisbane is looking at showers and 25 °C, Sydney partly cloudy with 24, Canberra partly cloudy with 23, and similar conditions in Hobart with 23 and partly cloudy. Melbourne will see another warm, sunny day at 27, Adelaide around 25 °C with some morning showers clearing, and Perth looking at 27 with cloud possibly increasing later in the day. You can also see that low and rain offshore may begin to impact south-west WA as we move into Monday, while the tropical north remains warm, dry and sunny with 34 and sunny in Darwin.
