Officers from the Nunawading Highway Patrol are appealing for public assistance after a speeding motorcyclist evaded police in Mulgrave this morning.
Police were patrolling Wellington Road when they detected a light-coloured sports motorcycle travelling west at 125km/h in an 80 zone about 9am.
It is believed the motorcyclist stopped briefly at the intersection of Springvale Road in the far-right lane before taking off through a red light and speeding south down the road.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was driving in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage to come forward to police.
