Spirit of Christmas show in Devonport

Devonport City Council Tasmania

Morning Melodies returns to Devonport tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 December at the paranaple arts centre with The Spirit of Christmas show.

Devonport City Council's Performing Arts Supervisor Debbie Kershaw said it was exciting for the city to host a Christmas-themed Morning Melodies event this year.

Mrs Kershaw said ticket holders can choose to arrive a little earlier and enjoy refreshments and fruit cake.

"We are excited to host a Christmas show for our community to help welcome in the festive season," Mrs Kershaw said.

"We encourage patrons to come along and enjoy the pre-show fun with our staff serving fruit cake and hot drinks in the foyer before they enjoy the show."

Promac Productions Producer Chris McKenna said The Spirit of Christmas will get audiences into the festive spirit and sing along to the array of Christmas carols.

"This show blends songs sung so beautifully as solos and duets and has plenty of laughs along the way, it's just the ticket to warm your hearts leading into Christmas," Mr McKenna said.

As compère, Mr McKenna will be joined on stage by singing sensations Roy Best and Alison Jones. They will be accompanied by Australia's beloved virtuoso William Schmidt on the grand piano.

The Spirit of Christmas will perform at 10.30am tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 December 2022 at the paranaple arts centre in Devonport. Tickets are available online at www.paranapleartscentre.com.au or call

(03) 6420 2900.
