Time to start your Place Based Plan

Tongala

The call is out for the Tongala community to come together to start planning its Place Based Plan.

Campaspe Shire General Manager Community, Keith Oberin said the first step in building a Place Based Plan is to get interested residents together, outline the process for developing a plan, and how residents can get involved.

"It is important that any Place Based Plan is built by the community, to ensure it captures the community vision, and sets the priorities and future opportunities to meet modern challenges," Mr Oberin said.

"By getting the community onboard at the start, to develop and agree to the process, stronger community ownership is achieved."

"Place Based Plans are in place for Rochester and Stanhope and the Kyabram Plan is about to be released to the wider community."

"We are hoping the drive and enthusiasm shown by these communities in developing their plans is replicated in Tongala."

A public meeting, to start the process, is scheduled for Wednesday, 28 July at 7pm in the Tongala Hall. Everyone is welcome.
