Trio charged after attempted aggravated burglary and shooting in Taylors Lakes

Armed Crime Squad detectives charged three males yesterday following an alleged attempted aggravated burglary that left a man with a gun-shot wound to his face in Taylors Lakes on 15 September.

It is alleged offenders attended a residence on Robertson Street just before midday and disturbed the home owners before making demands for their car keys.

A firearm was discharged and a 21-year-old man received a gun-shot wound to his face.

Investigators executed warrants at properties in Taylors Hill, Hillside and Aintree yesterday where six firearms, ammunition and a motorcycle were seized.

An 18-year-old Taylors Hill man and a 17-year-old Hillside male have both been charged and remanded with 12 offences including three counts of attempted aggravated burglary, conduct endangering life, theft of motor car and other related offences.

The 18-year-old will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court today and the 17-year-old will appear at a Children's court today.

A 24-year-old Taylors Hill man was charged with 14 offences including five counts of possess a firearm, five counts of manufacture handgun without a licence and possess drugs and ammunition offences.

He was remanded to appear at Sunshine Magistrates' Court today.
