Two Charged After Weapons Cache Seized in Penrith Home

Two men have been arrested after firearms, prohibited weapons and drugs were seized following a search warrant in Sydney's west yesterday.

Investigators attached to Nepean Police Area Command commenced an investigation after reports prohibited firearms had been found at a home in Penrith.

Following inquiries, about 7pm yesterday (Friday 31 July 2026), police executed a search warrant at a unit complex on Rodley Avenue, Penrith.

Inside the unit, police located two rifles and ammunition, a shortened rifle, two revolvers, two crossbows and bolts, nunchucks, mace, a high-powered laser device, knuckle-dusters, a throwing knife, a spear gun, ornamental battle axes and daggers, a combat knife, air pistols, air rifles, a number Gel Blasters, cash, and allegedly stolen property.

All items were seized and will undergo forensic examination.

Two men – aged 27 and 43 – were arrested at the home and taken to Penrith Police Station.

The 27-year-old was charged with 59 offences relating to firearms, prohibited weapons, drug supply and dealing with stolen property.

The 43-year-old was charged with goods in custody suspected being stolen, and possess housebreaking implements.

They were both refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 8 today (Saturday 1 August 2026).
