Woman arrested over Elizabeth stabbing, SA

Police have arrested a woman following a stabbing incident at Elizabeth Shopping Centre this morning, according to SA Police.

Just before 11.30am, Saturday 25 August, police and emergency services were called to the shopping centre on Oxenham Drive after reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival police located a man with a stab wounds to his hand and forearm. The victim, working as a taxi driver dropped the woman to the shopping centre and confronted her when she did not pay for the taxi fare.

Police will allege the woman produced a knife and stabbed the man in the forearm and hand. Security officers detained the woman until police arrived on scene.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

The woman is expected to be interviewed and charged later tonight.
