Xuno and Flexischools work to make school software kinder to ears

Xuno

Xuno School Management System and Flexischools are pleased to announce a partnership to combine their market-leading capabilities.

Xuno is a comprehensive school management and information system (SIS) incorporating leading student management, welfare and communications. Schools use Xuno as a complete SIS solution or individual modules to augment other SIS products. Flexischools is Australia's leading online ordering, payments and communications platform for parents, schools and suppliers.

The partnership will allow school communities better access to the modules and solutions that best meet their specific needs. Together, Xuno and Flexischools provide services to over 20% of Australia's schools.

Dr Kiki Tanousis, Xuno CEO, says, "Schools want every element of their software to be at a high standard. When we listen to an orchestra, we expect that it is made up of individually skilled musicians. With school software, too often, our educators have had to put up with the cacophony of a one-person band – a bunch of instruments strapped together providing a range of sounds, none of them particularly pleasing."

The move away from mediocrity in all-in-one systems to all-in-ones that are a cluster of expert systems is something that Tanousis champions.

"Our system was born out of specialist products from the get-go. As leaders in student management, reporting and analytics, we recognise fellow leaders operating in parallel fields. That's why we are delighted to work with Flexischools. Flexischools are the hands-down leader in school canteen services," he adds.

Flexischools' founder, and Inloop group CEO Geoff Austen, strongly advocates schools having access to the best of all worlds. "Flexischools are renowned for the performance, stability and sophistication of our products over the years, and it is a pleasure to collaborate with Xuno, a like-minded group that runs some of the nation's best-respected educational software. We have a long history of working with schools alongside other software and payment systems to deliver the most comprehensive service and support for parents, the school and their in-house and 3rd party service providers."

Austen said that InLoop's recently announced sale of the LanternPay business to HICAPS will allow the group to invest more time and resources into the Flexischools platform. An example is the recent launch of the FLX debit card and savings app for students.

Austen said, "It is a natural extension of the long relationship we have had with families across Australia – giving Aussie kids the convenience of cashless transacting in a safe and secure environment outside of school as well as inside."

Together, the group are working to make elements of each other's software appear in both systems.
