Your Voice in Health survey returns as pandemic pressures ease

  •         Your Voice in Health staff survey to resume in 2023 as COVID-19 stabilises
  •         All healthcare staff encouraged to take part to share their experiences
  •         McGowan Government election commitment designed to support healthcare workers
  • The Your Voice in Health survey will resume in 2023, after the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated that it be deferred.

The McGowan Government has today announced the valuable Your Voice in Health healthcare worker survey will be rescheduled for the first quarter of next year, with all public health staff encouraged to take up the opportunity to participate.

The Your Voice in Health Employee Engagement Survey was a McGowan Government election commitment and gives staff the chance to provide feedback on their workplace experiences. It provides an opportunity to identify ways to support their health, safety and wellbeing.

The decision to defer the survey was made in order to maximise participation from health staff given the original timing coincided with the expected surge of COVID cases in our hospitals. It was deferred to allow the WA health system to focus on preparing for and responding to COVID-19.

As stated by Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:

"The Your Voice in Health survey is an important mechanism for healthcare workers to provide feedback to the Department of Health and the Health Service Providers.

"We want as many people as possible to participate, which is why the survey was rescheduled away from the predicted peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I am pleased to announce it will take place early next year and encourage all healthcare staff to participate."
