$2M Grant Translates Cancer Research to Patient Care

University of Queensland researchers have received $2 million from the National Health and Medical Research Council to improve understanding of prostrate and breast cancer and expedite the translation of research outcomes.

The Development Grants scheme funds early-stage health and medical projects with a clear path to commercialisation and strong potential for intellectual property.

NHMRC Development Grants recipients: 

Professor Gregory Monteith  - improve a leading therapy for the treatment of advanced and refractory prostate cancer. 

Associate Professor David Muller  - develop needle-free mRNA vaccines for the protection from and treatment of HER2+ breast cancer.
