A new opportunity to connect Cultural and Creative Sector in Caribbean with European markets

The UNESCO Transcultura Programme and South-South Collective from Jamaica invite Caribbean and European creative and cultural professionals to join the International Creative Exchange Caribbean (ICEC) Online 2020 initiative.

This joint action for cultural exchange and cooperation aims to provide comprehensive online business to business (B2B) training and market development opportunities for Caribbean artists. The event will create a platform to engage artists, producers, managers and cultural practitioners in the Caribbean with the Global South and European markets.

Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity is an innovative UNESCO-European Union joint initiative. This Programme, funded by the European Union, was launched on 1 January 2020 and it is implemented by the UNESCO Regional Office of Culture for Latin America and the Caribbean with the support of key partners from Cuba the Caribbean. This initiative contributes to the Transcultura Programme objective of deepening integration between Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union in the cultural and creative industries.

Headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica, the South-South Collective, established in 2019, is an art and culture led, business to business collaboration platform that convenes and connects artists, cultural agents and creative practitioners in the Global South.

The ICEC Online 2020 Caribbean-EU encounter will take place next 12 December on the Zoom and Airmeet platforms and it is opened to all. Don't miss it!
